Stonyhurst College was founded in 1593 and remains one of the UK’s
most prestigious boarding schools. An adaptation of the Ampleforth
collection, Stonyhurst similarly transforms Timothy Oulton’s travelinspired trunks into functional furniture.
While preserving all the hallmarks of traditional craftsmanship in its
construction and detailing, the collection experiments with a range
of innovative finishes including the celebrated Spitfire finish. Unlike
the Ampleforth, the Stonyhurst does not include a lift-up lid.
All leather finishes, plus the Shiny Steel, Black Steel and Oxidised
Brass, all come with wooden banding. Both the Spitfire and Aero
finish comes without any banding.
